Vonzell: 'Treat Me Nice' is the song I chose, written by Leiber and Stoller, made famous by Elvis Presley. I picked this song because it's going to show off my personality and I just want to have some fun this week.
Vonzell sings...
Randy Jackson: Vonzell. All right. So, yo! I'm a pretty established record producer, been a musician all my life. All this kind of stuff...
Simon Cowell: (Coughs loudly. Paula laughs)
Randy Jackson: Yeah, they cough every time I say that. (Vonzell smiles) You know... tons of records. I've had a great, great career, still having one. That was one of the best vocals out of a song that I didn't even know! (Cheers and applause) This is a true mark... this is a true mark of someone trying to win something. I don't even barely know that song, and you made me like that song, and you made me interested 'cause you gave an incredible performance. That's how to win this, man!.
Vonzell: Thank you. (More cheers)
Paula Abdul: Having seen 'Smokey Joe's Cafe' probably a dozen times... it's one of the best fun musicals to go to... any musical producer out there would snatch you up in a minute, in a good positive way... (Vonzell laughs) ...to go on to Broadway.
Randy Jackson: Yup.
Paula Abdul: You are the consummate performer.
Vonzell: Thank you
Paula Abdul: With greet vocals. Great vocals.
Vonzell: Thank you very much. (Cheers and applause)
Simon Cowell: Ahm, I think Randy and me need to have a chat. Uhm, I thought there were elements of that performance which were very good, but overall for 'me', I actually thought it was a bit of a mess. (Groans from the audience and thumbs down from Vonzell supporters)
Randy Jackson: What? ,,, What?
Simon Cowell: I do. It was all a bit childish and cutesy and it was kind of all over the place...
Randy Jackson: You mean vocally ? ...
Simon Cowell: Yeah!
Randy Jackson: ...Or do you mean acting-wise?
Simon Cowell: I think the whole performance was a bit of a mess.
Paula Abdul: She was playful...
Randy Jackson: (To Simon) Are you serious!
Paula Abdul: She was playful!!
Ryan Seacrest: Vonzell Solomon.
Vonzell: (To audience) I love you too! Thank you.
Ryan Seacrest: Jackson, duke it out. This is where you guys come to blows. Come on, you've got to fight over that. This girl a year ago driving a mail truck, now she's going for the win on Idol...
Vonzell: (Waving as Ryan reads out the phone and text numbers) ... Hi everybody! USA Postal Service I love you!
Ryan Seacrest: ...Who are you shouting out?
Vonzell: United States Postal Service! (Waving) I love you guys!
Ryan Seacrest: We all love you.
