Scott: This week I'm singing 'On Broadway'. A song made famous by George Benson. And the reason I'm singing it is because last week Simon told me to pack my bags because I was leaving. And I'm not leaving until I become a star on Broadway.
Scott sings...
Randy Jackson: (Laughs) Scotty... Scotty, what's going down, dawg? What's up, baby?
Scott: What's going on?
Randy Jackson: So yo, man, listen. Definitely there were some bad notes in there, but the thing that's interesting for you. I mean, there were some pitch problems. But listen, the thing that's interesting for you, here's the positive point. Every week you seem to come up with just enough of the right vocals to pull it out, and you did it again that time, dude. I give you props. (Cheers and applause)
Paula Abdul: Have you ever heard of the word 'moxie'? Like...'moxie'?
Randy Jackson: Yeah.
Paula Abdul: You've got a lot of 'moxie', meaning that you have come with conviction, and it's not one... you're having... in tongue and cheek, so playing it up to Simon like you're going to stay here. I think that you did... I've never heard another version besides George Benson. That song was made for George Benson, but now I really love the way you did that version. I really do. (Cheers and applause)
Simon Cowell: Scotty, you've had more escapes than Houdini... (Paula and Randy laugh) ...But I agree with Randy, there were one or two bum notes. Taking that aside, in my opinion that was probably your best performance so far.
Scott: (Smiles and claps... the audience cheers)
Ryan Seacrest: Scott Savol pulling it out! Excellent, bro...
