| New Millennium Songs - American Idol 4, Final 6 |
 | Idol has already given us 3 decade themes this season, this week they make it a whole millennium - the current one! The Idols can sing any song from the years 2000 thru 2005... that's half a decade if your glass is half empty! |
| Tonight's pre-song video packages take us 'at home with the Idols'. We get a glimpse of the neighborhood and family life of each contestant. There are lots of interesting revelations: | |
- No wonder animal lover Carrie Underwood can sing till the cows come home, when she was little she used to sing to her cows.
- Bo Bice's mom (who is looking more like a beautiful sister!) sings Gospel. She used to hope that Bo would follow in her footsteps.
- 'Karate Kid' Vonzell Solomon can break a solid block of wood with her bare fist. We actually see her do it - it's awesome.
- Anthony Fedorov has been recording love songs since he was 18 months old.
- Constantine Maroulis was a good 'church boy' until he got into rock 'n' roll.
- Scott Savol's mom and dad always thought he'd end up a priest.

| Clay Aiken is in the audience tonight, it's his first visit since leaving season 2 as runner up. "Coming in second has really hurt your career buddy!" jokes Ryan Seacrest. |
| Other stars present include Heather Locklear, who is outshone tonight by her cute daughter Ava and Ava's little friend Hannah. They're all rooting for Clay Aiken... sorry, I mean Anthony Fedorov! | |
| In fact it's not Anthony who Ryan compares to Clay tonight, but Constantine Maroulis. Looks like Ryan's been on those ironic tablets. | |
| The 6 remaining finalists all turn in decent performances tonight. It's really hard to separate them out, except to declare that our 'top 3' for tonight are Bo, Vonzell and Anthony. | |
