Vegas gal Sarah Jane Woodall walks into the audition room dressed for the rodeo. She represents her city by singing a chirpy version of 'Viva Las Vegas!'.

What she lacks in vocal talent she makes up for in enthusiasm. Actually her voice doesn't sound too bad until she goes a bit crazy singing the last line.

However, Simon and Randy aren't impressed. They seem to think Sarah has just come along for her 15 minutes of fame on TV.

Sounding irritated, Simon tells her "It's just a waste of time!". Curiously though, when Sarah defends herself Simon winks at her, an action which suggests that he has also been hamming things up for the cameras!

It's time for bronco Simon to buck rodeo-Sarah out of the studio. Well, at least she lasted more than 8 seconds in there!

And outside the audition room Sarah seems happy enough about how things went, "Well, you know, I agree with his assessment. I really was just trying to get on TV. But I gave it my all, and I had a good time. My voice didn't crack. I didn't forget the words.  All things considered, I think I did pretty good, so I'm happy."

Sarah:  (Sarah finishes singing with an off-key flourish) ...Viva! Viva! Las Vegas!!!

Kenny Loggins:  Yes, yes!

Paula Abdul:  Wow!

Kenny Loggins:  It was worth the wait!

Simon Cowell:  Sarah, you didn't come in here to go through to the next round.

Sarah:  Sure I did! I figured I had as much chance as anybody else.

Randy Jackson:  No, you came in to be on TV.

Simon Cowell:  You came in to be on TV.

Sarah:  Well, yeah, but that's what everybody came here for right?

Randy Jackson:  Ahhh... well, yeah, yeah, yeah...

Simon Cowell:  You know what? It was just a complete waste of time Sarah. You know, it's not funny. It's not good. It's not bad. It's just a waste of time!

Sarah:  I'm sorry you feel that way. I was just trying to entertain. (Simon winks at her!)

Simon Cowell:  Bye.
