American Idol Season 3: (Tues) 11 May 2004
The American Idol studio was a disco inferno this Tuesday.
Graceful disco-diva Donna Summer sat in as honorary panelist, however only one of the song choices (No More Tears) was from her hit collection. Here's the list of the songs that went down tonight…
-
Jasmine Trias - Everlasting Love, It's Raining Men
-
La Toya London - Love You Inside and Out, Don't Leave Me This Way
-
Fantasia Barrino - Knock on Wood, Holding Out For a Hero
-
Diana DeGarmo - This Is It, No More Tears
The atmosphere was electric, so too were the performances of Fantasia Barrino and Diana DeGarmo.
La Toya London also did well, but somehow seemed to be missing the wow factor so evident in previous weeks.
The weakest on the night was Jasmine Trias. In panel-speak Jasmine was a little too 'pitchy' and her post-performance tears told us that she didn't need Simon Cowell & co to tell her. Repeating his warning of last week, Simon told Jasmine she was 'vulnerable'.
If the judges' comments are anything to go by it should be Jasmine leaving this Wednesday evening.
Whether the judges have any sway with the American public remains to be seen ... 2 words ... Jennifer and Hudson!
